Remembering My Why

The other night, we took our women and girls out for a nice meal and time together. The conversations weren’t light ones – they rarely are – but they were honest and real, the kind that lead to healing.

As I sat there, just listening, I was reminded all over again why Amadea exists. Because, these are not just stories; they’re hearts in process. Each woman and girl carries a journey of pain, strength, and redemption. And while I’ll never pretend that my heart doesn’t break hearing what they’ve been through or what they’re walking out;  I also know something sacred is happening in those moments.

Even when I feel weary, even when the work feels heavy, I know God is still moving. He’s carrying the pieces I can’t hold. He’s tending the seeds we’ve planted and turning anshes into beauty, despair into hope, and fear into faith.

Remembering my why keeps me grounded in the truth that this isn’t my mission; it’s His. I’m just grateful to be part of what He’s doing and to watch love bring women and girls back to life.

Because that’s the heart of Amadea:

To see every woman and girl know she is loved, seen, and free.
